PADI Emergency First Response Certification

The PADI Emergency First Response certificate is not just for divers!

PADI in partnership with Emergency First Response Corp, now offers a comprehensive and innovative CPR and first aid program.

This new program is composed of the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) courses. The Primary Care course covers emergency care for life threatening emergencies while the Secondary Care course focuses on follow up care for injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Course options include Automated External Defibrillator (AED), emergency oxygen use and conscious choking adult skills.

These courses follow the standards set by the consensus view of the Basic Life Support Working Group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), the international standards group for emergency care. The Emergency First Response course meets CPR requirements for participants seeking certification through the American Council on Exercise, and satisfies the CPR and first aid training requirements for merchant mariner licensure from the US Coast Guard.

The Emergency First Response training is flexible to meet participants needs. Instructors can choose from independent study, video guided or instructor led approaches. Emergency First Response is available to anyone wishing to acquire CPR and first aid training.
